Collecting Original Work

Most of the artwork in my online portfolio has already been sold in years past, but if you're interested in purchasing new, original work that's still available, you have a few options.

You can always find my work on display at the following galleries:

Harrison Galleries
2315 University Boulevard, Tuscaloosa, AL 35401
(205) 464-0054

The Village Gallery
Lahaina, Maui
Village Gallery was burned in the Lahaina Fire in August of 2023, with all work lost.
At the link above, you can read about my history at the gallery and my thanks to the gallery owner, Lynn Shue.

You can also purchase work directly from my studio, if I happen to have any available - which I usually do:

Occasionally, I'm also showing in juried competitions and other venues around the country, and you might be able to see those shows if you happen to be near any of them. For a list of current exhibitions where you can see my work, and possibly purchase it, too, please follow this link:

"Do you accept private commissions?"

Not very often; I generally enter into such agreements only in regard to projects that would be of natural interest to me, being consistent with my current work and creative pursuits. But maybe that describes a proposal that you have in mind. If you'd like to find out, the best way to contact me is by e-mail at: kit@kitgentry.com

"Does it cost less to buy work directly from your studio?"

It does not. Since gallery pricing accurately reflects the current market value of my work, prices are typically the same whether the work is purchased from a gallery or directly from me - in contrast to the wholesale/retail disparity that often applies to the pricing of other types of merchandise. There's a really good reason for this: original artwork has an investment value for many collectors. I'm conscious of the value that others have exchanged for my work in the past, on the assumption of its future value, which could be quickly undermined by selling similar work for less on my own.
