The Mausoleums of Sleepy Hollow Cemetery are among its most spectacular attractions.
They range from elaborate structures with classical columns (above), to simple, gated spaces like the one below:
Occasionally, you almost get the sense that they're trying to lock the occupants in, rather than keeping others out.
Above and below: the spectacular mausoleum of John Archbold, a director and president of Rockefeller's Standard Oil Company. The interior of the dome roof is covered with colorful mosaic-tile, similar to the design above the metal doors of the entrance:
